What Our Customers Have To Say

"Hi,

"Just wanted to thank you for such a great weekend. The events that are planned are fun and keep the little ones busy as well as the kid in all of us.

"This is our second annual water wars and it was absolutely perfect. The staff is courteous, friendly, and so helpful whenever in answering any questions we might have. We are looking forward to Halloween weekend in September. Again, thanks for providing a clean, safe place to camp."

The Heleins

"To our friends at Smokey Hollow and Baraboo Hills Campgrounds, and Bud Styer Associates,

"Words cannot express how thankful we are for your generous donation to Pardeeville Elementary Schools-Outreach to Teach Project. Our silent auction was a huge success and the camping that was donated was very popular. The auction alone raised over $5,000 and with all of the money raised, we will be able to complete many painting, landscaping and construction projects that have been put on hold because of budget constraints. Your commitment to the community is amazing and very much appreciated!

On behalf of Pardeeville Schools,

"I wanted to let everyone know at Smokey Hollow Campground that my boyfriend and some of our friends had a great time. This was my first time up in Lodi, WI and it was very enjoyable and we are looking to come back again very soon. We just camped and were in site 13 and 14 and it was a great atmosphere, friendly staff, other campers were very welcoming and it was very family friendly. The bathrooms were very very clean so thank you for that! We are from Chicago, IL and I just wanted to let ya'll know it was awesome.

As we were packing up our things this morning, a gentlemen dropped off a DVD of the Water Wars and I am watching as I am typing this and it looks like a blast. I have never seen something like this before at any campground...I love it.

Keep up the great work!"

"I wanted to let you know that we camped over the weekend of August 1st and our family just had a ball! My children really enjoyed the pond (be it ever so cold that weekend), the bikes, the activities and especially the Water Wars. We are trying to plan another trip next summer and getting some of our friends to join us. Thanks again for such a great time and look forward to seeing you guys again next year.

The Mete Family

"I am part of a camping group of 16-22 families, with 3yr old to grand parent age campers. Each year, a different family picks a campground within a 2 1/2 hour radius from Janesville. This year, your campground was picked!!

Not only did our kids love it, but the adults enjoyed it also. We all had a blast in the 'swimming pool', using the rental equipment, playing volleyball, watching movies, eating free popcorn, and going on a 'tour bus ride'!

The private bathrooms were wonderful, your karokee was a blast for our 'load' group and we truly enjoyed your friendly staff.

Too often, people will tell you when they don't/didn't like and/or enjoy something. I wanted to tell you that our group of 60 campers had a wonderful 4th of July camping weekend.

Thank you!!!"

Sharon

"We would like to let you know that this was our first trip here at Smokey Hollow and we totally have enjoyed our visit here. We will surely return. Just love all what you have for the children to do. Our grandchildren just can't believe all what you have for them to do. They are on the go from morning till night! We are at site R12 & our son and family at 63. All your employees are so very nice & courteous. We are the Wallace's from Burlington, WI. Thank you so very much."

The night was a ton of fun and a huge success with us bringing in over $13,000. The kids enjoyed the carnival and the adults enjoyed the friendly "bidding battles." The PTA is now excited to put that money to use on field trips for the kids, extended activities for the classrooms and resources for the students and staff. Thanks for making that possible.

Smokey Hollow Campground Achieves Woodall's 5W Rating!

CONGRATULATIONS! We're proud to inform you that your park is one of only 260 listed in the 2009 Woodall's North American Campground Directory to attain Woodall's highest 5W rating in both Facilities and Recreation. Less than 3% of the privately owned parks included in our 2009 edition have achieved this distinction.

Your 5W rating is truly a reflection of the time and investment in the development of your park, personnel, recreation programs, and excellent maintenance, and places your park in a very distinct and select group. We understand that these ratings are not easy to attain and applaud your efforts.

The entire Woodall's team offers our congratulations on this achievement. We know this is a result of hard work, attention to detail, and group efforts of owners, managers, and your entire staff.

Thank you for providing exceptional quality and a first-rate experience to the RVing public. Best wishes on your continued success.

Sincerely,

Ann Emerson

Fun Night Volunteers, Organizations, and Businesses

On behalf of the Lodi PTO I would like to thank each and every one of you for your hard work and dedication to our annual Fun Night event. Without you to run our games this event couldn't take place. The success we have is because of you.

It is great to see the smiling faces of the kids that have enjoyed the event for years or who are experiencing it for the first time, it makes all the hard work with it. This is an event that is eagerly looked forward to each and every year by the kids in the Primary and Elementary Schools.

Although the weather isn't in our favor we managed to pull the event through again this year and appreciate everyone who came to help out.

Sincerely,

Donna Nath

Lodi High School Career & Technical Education

The Lodi High School Career and Technical Education Department would like to thank you for your time in participating in the first annual Career and Technical Education Career Fair.

The Career and Technical Education Department focuses on teaching students how to be prepared for and successful in the work force. By participating in the career fair and by volunteering your time you were able to help us accomplish that goal.

For the first year we believe that the career fair was successful, we had a total of 19 different careers/businesses represented and over 300 students participate in the career fair, this far exceeded expectations.

Thank you for all you do for the school and community, we appreciate your time and talents that you share with the students of Lodi High School and look forward to working with you in the future!

Thank you!

Thank You for a Great Weekend!

My family have been there two times now, we have to say it was so much fun. There was so much to do there, we all had a great time with the water toys and with all the fun stuff you had there to do. We all loved the food you have there. We all love the shopping cart ride that was so great, woohoooo. We loved the store -- it has a lot for everyone. The kids got a big kick out of the mining for gems, even I had a great time doing that. The magic show was cool, the movie night was wonderful -- I even watched and laugh so hard.

It was so much fun that the whole family will be coming next year to have fun. We all can't wait to find out what new things you'll be having for the next years fun. My family would like to say that the campground was so clean and well looked after. We are planning our next trip to there already, everyone can't wait for the summertime to come again.

Expectations Exceeded

Dear Owner / Manager,

Thank you.

This past weekend, my son braved the elements (along with his sisters) and played in the water on Saturday. An accident occurred and he fell off an inflatable and hurt his toe. After coming back from the 'ER' (his toe was broken), I asked the front desk if any accommodations can be made about his wrist band. The staff exceeded my expectations and let us switch the band to my oldest daughter (who only used it once, teenagers...), and also awarded us several free ice creams.

Jim is doing better and he is looking forward to our return trip there later this summer.

Again, I just wanted to say thank you to your staff and please keep up the great work at your campground.

Our Stay

I do not want to miss the opportunity to tell you how much fun we had! We were in cabin 3 and 4 last week. We had an entire family with us to enjoy the campground. The kids are still talking about the fun in the pond on all the climbing floaties. It was nice of you to have life vests for the little ones who have not mastered their swimming skills. The water was warm and great every day. The beaches were clean every day.

The cabins were so nice. Clean when we arrived. We loved staying so close to the water. We enjoyed campfires nightly. We could si outside but felt safe to be close to the little ones while they slept. We never felt threatened with thinking someone would take our things. Everyone could be trusted. When we thought we had a refrigerator problem someone came to check it...thanks.

The bath houses near pavilion were very nice. Thanks for providing a nice place to be cleaned up. The bathroom near the store could us some updating and more frequent cleaning but we realize it is highly used throughout the day.

The staff at Smokeyhollow is great. Each on that serviced us was friendly and patient with the little ones when making choices. There was one employee who was everywhere...short, glasses and a HARD worker. He fixed the little tractor that lost its steering wheel for our 2 coach, the lighted parade...all of it was great.

We took advantage of the ty-dying and those girls were so patient and kind. We suggest bigger (wider rubberbands) but our shirts turned out nice. The bandannas were not our favorites but that was the childs choice.

We all want to return again next year. No one wanted to leave. I really appreciate that you are keeping things clean and nice at your campground. We would highly suggest friends visiting your facility. So thank you for making our first camping family vacation so much fun. We loved it all.

"We love Smokey Hollow"

Hi folks,

We love Smokey Hollow! We normally stay in the green section for tent/camper camping.

I love that you continuously improve things. We have recommended the site to many people. And I know that there are at least 4 families who have gone up there on our recommendation and loved it!

Thanks for putting the steps around the dunk tank. I felt nervous about it last year. I know my son and a few others got hurt (not injured) on it last year. And I was afraid I'd have to stand over each kid there to make sure they did it right. But it was great this year!

I wish the weekend breakfast buffet included the breakfast pizza. My kids only eat a waffle, but would like to do pizza too. But I can't justify the extra $ for it.

The kids bags tournament was wonderful. I had my doubts when you broke up my kids self-made partnerships and had them partner instead with strangers. But I was a convert after watching it unfold. A great ice breaker. One thing though. My daughter played 3 times before some kids played at all. I haven't seen a bracket game played ever before where that happened. Would be better if you played it like normal brackets and everyone played 1x at least before another team played a 2nd time (not including the “bye” teams).

You guys did a great job trying to cover up the black stuff around the beach. But some was still uncovered and it was a little slippery.

LOVED the hose and sprayer now on the water at the camp site. I brought my own and didn't need it.

Also, really appreciated the new (moved?) port-apotty right between sites 2 and 3. It was very clean, not horrible smelling and lots of hand sanitizer! However, it got unusable (for my preferences) by Saturday night and definitely Sunday. Is it possible to have it emptied on Saturday? This one is probably a stretch, but I'm tossing it out there anyway. :)

Candy bar bingo could be every single weekend (to ensure we always hit on it) and you would get no complaints from us. Kids LOVE it.

Love too many things to list. All just great!!

Thanks again,
Kerri & Mark
